Finding Robert

All names in this true account have been changed to protect the privacy of the victim and his family. 

This summer I was called in the afternoon by my cousin Kim about her college-aged son's friend Robert. She told me that Robert was out with some of his friends on a boat on Friday night and he had playfully jumped off the boat doing a flip and landed in the water. Because they were on a large river the current that night was stronger than usual. His friend quickly threw him a line, but Robert was floating away. His friend jumped into the water and swam towards him, by this time Robert was drowning and struggling to stay afloat. His friend grabbed his hand, but unfortunately, Robert went down and the friend lost his grip. The friend swam back to the boat, called 911 and began to drive the boat around to look for Robert. It is my understanding that the U.S. Coast Guard arrived and began doing their search.

Kim contacted me on Monday afternoon, the U.S. Coast Guard and local Sheriff department searched with divers and boats all weekend. The community is very tight-knit. It is a small town on a big river. Unfortunately, by Monday, most of the search was coming to an end. The first 48 hours are the best bet to rescue a victim of drowning or overboard. Beyond the 48 hours, the officials were considering this a recovery search.

My first impressions are always the strongest and usually the most accurate. In my opinion, this is because I have not received any bias yet, meaning the lack of information that I know about the scene or circumstances is a good thing. Optimally, I would have met with his family and gotten some of his personal effects and visited the scene of his disappearance.

I told Kim to take notes or to record my first impressions since we were on the phone with a long-distance between us. As a remote viewer, I start to see the area and the scene on the boat and get a feel for Robert himself and his state of mind. I could immediately sense a total of three people on the boat including Robert, she did validate that he was with his friends, a girl and a boy his age. I also could start to hear music and alcohol present because Robert seemed high to me. I felt the rush of this scene as it happened and instantly felt a very strong rush of survivor guilt from his friend that I will call Carson for his privacy. I said to Kim, "I want you to tell Carson's family to watch him very closely right now and that he should never be left alone". I was feeling a very strong burden on his energy and worried about his general safety.

The REMOTE VIEWING SESSION

I then grabbed my pen and paper and began to automatically write and draw. I saw the number 51 and began to draw a cone shape. I could see a long boardwalk with a railing along the rivers edge with a park behind it. I saw a small bridge and what I was drawing was very heavy with cement, so not a wooden bridge or a steel bridge but one with steel and a ton of concrete. I also saw Robert at the bottom of the river with his body pushed up against a very large object. It seemed like a really large pipe or tunnel, but there was a cable line coming out of the ground and I could see his leg sort of intertwined in that cable. He was stuck or hung up on this object kind of flowing with the current back and forth. It was then that I started to cry and feel very overwhelmed with loss. I understood at that moment that Robert had crossed over and was not going to be able to be revived. I could also see what seemed like a historical marker sign, but I wasn't sure what that was representing.

Kim told me that when she went back to the scene the next day that she would call me and tell the people there my impressions. The next day after she did that she called me and was told by the search officials that he went down at buoy 51. All major waterways have numbered buoys for navigation and 51 was where the boat was when the U.S Coast Guard arrived. We also learned that there is a large salt mine on the land there and that they have a huge pipe underground on the floor of that river to transport the salt across the river. She then put me on face time and laterally from the buoy 51 was a draw bridge for boats to pass through. So when boats come to the bridge, they lift each side of the concrete road and the boats/ ships can pass. She was standing on the boardwalk and the park itself is a historical landmark.

I started to try hard to connect with Robert with my mediumship ability. A very strong person came in as an elder of Roberts letting me know that he was in his care and that Robert was still very much in shock and he would connect for him to me. The name was Grand Patty or Grand Pat. Not Grand Pappy, like I continued to question in my psychic view. So I thought this was a man, I knew this person was showing to me Roberts father and that this person was on his fathers' line. Meaning the father's elder family member. Anyways, Grand Patty came in with all this information about a girl on the boat and a boy on the boat and the boy's father is very strong. Also, about Robert's father, being an accomplished person in the community with stellar credentials and very proud. I was getting a uniform of some sort, felt military to me. He was also showing me an award to be given to his father in the fall, so he has not gotten this yet. Letting me know that he will be surprised and honored for it and that he will be there too.

All of this was very validating, but they still had not found Robert. I continued to get some impressions, but not very much more information. This went on for a few more days. The searches continued with sonar and volunteer boaters, yet still no Robert. The family held a vigil in the park and lit candles and the pastor from the local church said many prayers. I was not present and never was able to travel to the location, but Kim impressed upon me that it was really special and the community had come out by the hundreds to pray and help the family.

Robert was going to be a junior in college this year, he was just 20 years old. He was the town star football player and was an all-around great kid. Kim's son is also a great kid and all of their friends were very close. She said they were like a boy pack since they started elementary school together, playing baseball & football for many years together. All of the mothers of these boys were undoubtedly close-knit too because of the many years of carpooling and pot lucking and attending all of their many, many games and events together. My heart was just breaking feeling their anguish. I am a mother too, my daughter is 15 years old and of course I adore all of her friends.

Help From Family to Reach him

That next day I asked Kim if she could try to get a family member to talk to me live to try to reach Robert directly. It is really important to have a family member talk to me, there is a universal law to abide by here. It is hard to describe, but generally as in life here, the same rules apply. You need permission. Kim coordinated a call with his aunt. We were all three on the phone and as soon as I started to talk to her Robert joined us. He started to tell me that he was excited to camp this weekend coming up with all of his friends. All the impressions of camping came flooding in, like setting up tents, smells of outdoors, campfires, dirt and fun and playfulness. It had tradition energy to the scene, something he had done many times before.

He showed me a girl that he loved and said she was his girlfriend, but that they were in different places in their lives and were now casual in their relationship but that he was very proud of her and loved her very much.

He showed me a symbol of what looked like a crown to me or a headdress of some sort, it looked like it was some kind of tall crown with many details on it. I saw the color orange or red with this crown.

He showed me his younger brother and was very proud of him as well. He came in with saying something like, "Ya know he tries to be a good athlete, but will never be as good as me, haha". I know that Kim and his aunt wrote that down, but it was something like that and they both just burst out screaming, "Oh My God, that is exactly Robert". He always chided his younger brother as brothers do. Giving him a hard time playfully and lovingly.

He talked about moving into a new apartment a far distance away, like college. He was going to try to pay for the extra expense by getting a part-time job coaching kids. It was as if I was talking to Robert and he was just having a conversation with us as if he was still here.

At that point, I knew that Robert had not come to a full understanding that he had crossed. I know that my job as a medium is to help the family find their son and brother. It was my job to accomplish that very important task. I started to gently tell Robert in my psychic view that he had died. He needed to realize that and let me know where his body was located so that his parents and brother could find him and move into a grieving process. I felt strongly that he was stuck at the bottom of the lake so I send him an energy message to send his body up. I instantly felt a release. I told them on the phone, "Robert has just been released from what was trapping him at the bottom". He suddenly got it, he showed me a bracelet on his wrist. I felt that this was something in the future connected to his brother, but it was not clear to me, but it was colorful and joyful.

Once I felt his release, his spirit went forward and away from me. It was a beautiful moment. I know that at that very second that Robert understood for sure that he crossed over and that he was going to make sure that his family would get this body soon. I said to Kim and his aunt, his body has just been released, so you need to let them know that it will be traveling now with the current and end up down the river today, tonight or by tomorrow morning. We all felt rejoice and release.

Then I felt his presence disappear from my reach, but a new presence came up. She was showing me that she was a relative of Roberts mom, I felt strongly that she was his grandmother. I said that she was telling me that she was very happy that the priest was there that morning to do a prayer for Robert and the search crews, friends and family. Immediately, Kim started to say, "I think that you have this wrong and that it was the candlelight vigil that we had on Sunday night and there was a Pastor that was there that said a prayer". I could see in my psychic eye that she was holding a rosary and a bible, which is my past signs for a person that has Catholic faith. Robert's aunt quickly said, "Actually, there was a Priest here this morning before you got here about 9:00 a.m." so she was very happy about this Priest being there. Of course, I was then pressed for her to tell me anything about his location, but she just faded away.

I told this to the ladies, that sometimes spirit family members are not always allowed to help us. We have to journey on our own. Kim then let me know that the aunt shared with her that Grand Patty from the other day that had showed up in my first reading with her was his fathers' mother. Her name was Patricia and all of the grandchildren called her 'Grand Patty'. So that was pretty cool to get that very strong validation. When you get the name loud and clear it is very special, not only for the client but for me too.

That night, I spoke to my brother, and he was very sure that he was having a strong psychic vision that he would be found soon in Algonac. This would be quite a ways down the river, but with the current and the fact that I felt him get released, I was hopeful that he was right.

Early the next morning, Kim texted me, "They found Robert in Algonac"! I was just so happy. That morning I went outside and saw a rainbow. My sister also woke up seeing a rainbow across town and texted it to me on my phone. After a while, Kim texted me a rainbow too. She said that her son 7 states away saw a rainbow and texted that to her too. Robert was sending us all rainbows.

I wasn't going to write about this case, but today I felt Roberts presence. I kid you not, during this writing we had a storm pass through my town and then the sun came out during the rain and gave us a special rainbow. They will always be Roberts rainbows to me and his family and community.

Update

Also since that time, there was a Keith Urban concert and Robert's friends had made bracelets in his honor and his brother got close to the stage and gave a bracelet to Keith Urban and he put it on his wrist and dedicated a song to Robert. Also, I learned that the crown with red colors was representative of his high school mascot and emblem on his helmet and football jersey of a Fleur De Li.
